World of WingsWorld of Wings is part of the Cumbernauld Outdoor Centre near Glasgow, Scotland. It is now Scotland's largest bird of prey centre open to the public. They have many different birds, including eagles, vultures, hawks, falcons, owls, kites and some other unusual species of birds such as parrots and a rhea! They have a large variety of species in the centre and currently house around 80 birds. The majority of their birds are Raptors, otherwise known as birds of prey but they also have a number of parrots and other bird species. Many of their birds are used in flying demonstrations where they are free flown on a daily basis in front of the public. They also have a number of breeding birds which can be seen in newly built breeding aviaries The main aims of the centre is to help educate the visitors but at the same time provide an enjoyable day out for all the family. They are heavily involved in conservation and often rescue and rehabilitate wild injured birds of prey.
