| cb30 :: 1958 Opening day. Rover JC14 with John Carmichael VC taking delivery from Bill Watson. John was awarded the Victoria Cross during the first world war after a grenade landed near him in his trench. On seeing it he took off his helmet - placed it over the grenade and stood on it! When it exploded he was wounded but his bravery saved the lives of many fellow soldiers. |
