| This is a copy of the receipt for the bike, makes interesting reading. Purchased from - Robert Aitken & Son 20 South Bridge Street Airdrie on 2 May 1922. This garage was on the left side heading North about 3/4 of the way up. They had a cycle shop on South Bridge Street also selling toys etc - with the Garage at the rear. I used to buy all my Dinky Toys there , Saturday pocket money all gone again !! With enough left over for the Odeon on Saturday morning.... sometimes ...My first pedal cycle came from there also an 'Argyll' Wish petrol was as cheap today |
