Lanarkshire 53 was built in 1908 for
the Lanarkshire Tramways Company of
Motherwell. After finishing service
the lower saloon was sold to a
farmer for use as a store shed. The
body was acquired in 1988 and
painstakingly restored to operating
condition. 53 was re launched in 1994.
