A WEE TALE O' SCOTLAND
(Memorial to the Departed)

This wee
tale o' Scotland, tells o' the bagpipes an' kilt.
And yon volcanic rock, wer oor castle wiz built.
Red hair an' freckles an' tossin' the caber.
Single malt whiskey, wi' a distinctive favour.
Come visit loch ness, oor nessie's a mystery.
Get a picture o' her and you'll go doon in history.
Ben Nevis is here if ye fancy a hike.
Or Glasgow is near if ye fancy a fight.
Come see oor battlefields, way up in Glencoe.
Oor valley o' murder,
usually covered in snow.
St. Andrews links golf, world's no1 course.
Try hittin' the baw, when it's blowing galeforce.
Take a trip doon tae Ayrshire, the hame ay oor bard.
But mind Tam o'Shanter, better be on yer guard.
Heroes like Subo, Sean Connery who're famous.
And them two specky twins we call the Proclaimers.
An auld firm match, watch the celtic play rangers.
But Glasgow's east end's no a place for you strangers.
The weather is cauld, no fur the faint hearted.
So wrap up warm or you'll be departed.
