Strathclyde Country Park For the enthusiast the main water activities that the park caters for include: Rowing, Windsurfing, Dinghy sailing, Canoeing, Water Ski-ing. Craft are available for hire or you can bring your own. For fun there are Rowing Boats, Bumper Boats, Wave Boats, Boat Trips, Canadian Canoes. Land Sports are served by a well equipped sports pavilion - the park caters for: Football, Hockey, Jogging, Horse Riding, Coarse Angling, Wayfaring, Orienteering, Cross Country Running, (Angling on day permits ) There is a Caravan & Camping Site (a 5 tick site) with over 200 pitches - providing accommodation for touring caravans and tents. Footpath & Nature Trails with miles of footpaths through dense woodlands, wetlands, and open parkland - plus the long distance Clyde Walkway Scheme. Historical Features including Bothwellhaugh, a Roman Fort & Bathhouse, Orbiston Tower House and the Site of the Battle of Bothwell Bridge. Wildlife Refuges provide breeding sites and refuge for more than 150 different species of wild animals and birds. Guided Walks
are provided all year round by members of the Park ranger Service.
