Google Maps
AND
-
Google offers mapping products that can display
an interactive map on a Web page.
-
The mapping services utilize a technology known
as AJAX (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) which allows for a
more flexible and interactive mapping experience.
-
Use this service to display a location on a map
generated by Google. It started with US addresses (in the form
of Street, Town, State, Zip), but it now works with most
other countries. In the UK you can use your post code or town.
-
You can zoom and pan the maps as desired.
Zooming can be achieved by using the sliding scales found on the
left of the maps. Panning can be achieved by left-click-holding
any location of the map and dragging it around.
-
I particularly like to use the Satellite
views - in some areas you can get quite a good close up.
I even tried tried Spain - using Satellite - with varying
results.
