Airdrie This shows a more Eastern view of the Town when we actually had a Railway running through ! You can even see a train in the shot. The long building at the top is the South Stand at Airdrieonians, also you can see the Directors stand on Gartlea Road. The Old Midland Bus Depot, later Watson Bros Garage has now been demolished, but there are still buses at the Depot Gartlea Road can be seen quite clearly, with all the Factories to the right. Lower left is the Old Graveyard that used to give a lot of fun to lads waiting at night for the Drunks to be staggering along.. then jumping out on them from over the wall ....The Gas works took up a lot of Airdrie then !! Virtually everything on this side of South Bridge Street has been demolished so it is good to see it as it used to be.....Carrick Watson
