To Joseph
 my third great grandson

October 16th 2003

 by
Ron Todd

A loving welcome to my new great grandson

I'm so sorry for this world that he will find

Where peace and love are being held to ransom

But I'm hoping that he'll reap the other kind

Where people yearn for peace and help each other

Where real compassion brings with it some hope

When brutal treatment makes us run for cover

At scenes from which our senses cannot cope

Fate will decide if I'm to watch his travels

But part of me he will carry down that road

I bequeath him all my love as he unravels

A life that only reaps what you have sowed
